Beach-Lee Family History

Several people in our family have been active in researching the family history for the Beach-Lee-Gibbs-Horn-McFerran families:

Ken Beach -- researching the Beaches and Bonds in the Morecambe, Lancashire, England area
Phyllis Beach -- researching the Lee and Cranstone family history in the Godalming, England area
John Lee -- providing anecdotes and recollections of family events and photographs
Doug Horn -- compiling the Horn and Tubman family histories
Lynn McFerran -- also researching the Lees and Cranstones

We have published a web version of the family history on this web site along with a variety of images from family reunions and family history albums. Feel free to link through the family relationships. Each family is represented by a "web card" that visually depicts the parents, spouses and children for each family. (The thumbnail above is one.) Some pictures are included -- more are welcome if you have them. Each person also is linked to a "person sheet" with all of the information that we have for that person.

The family history web version was created using the Reunion 7 software for the Macintosh. If you are interested in working with the databse, please contact Rick Beach for details. Folks dependent upon Windows PC can use the Generations software from Sierra and be able to work with Reunion files -- I plan to experiment with a copy of Generations sometime soon . . .

Ever seen the family tree laid out in it's full complexity? This chart is created by Reunion and shows all of the relatives starting at Heather Beach's generation. (It needs Acrobat Reader.) Tips on finding someone on this chart: click on the link to view the chart in Acrobat Reader, cick on the icon for Actual Size, ciick on the Find icon (looks like binoculars), type in the first or last name and click the Find button, and click Find Again until you find the person you want by that name.

When printed it is 72 x 96-inches in size -- 2 x 3 meters -- or 28 sheets of paper that fill up a wall!! If you want to print one, let me know by email and I'll send you another version of the file. If I get enough requests, then I'll post the printable version.

You are invited to provide additional information by sending an update by email -- we are still looking for an easier way but don't have one yet.
